Hi we are Jacki & Mike - your Wedding Celebrants in Cornwall
We are happy, creative Wild Wedding Celebrants who have travelled all the way from the Wildness of South Africa to the Wildness of Cornwall (with a few detours along the way). We left our Homeland to follow our yearnings for adventure and to explore foreign shores and interesting cultures. We love creating fusion Weddings, Handfastings and Elopements where we can combine our love of all these different elements to bring you a ceremony that is all about U - UNIQUE, UNCONVENTIONAL AND INTIMATE!! You have the option to choose us individually or together - so essentially 2 for the price of 1. For our Celtic/Pagan Handfastings, we recommend that you choose us both as there are at least 6 different Rituals to include and it works well to keep the dynamic of this type of ceremony flowing. What's great about choosing us is that there will always be a Celebrant for you, no matter what the weather is doing, or if one of us is ill or your choice of wild location is off the beaten track - WE HAVE YOU COVERED!

Which Ceremony is perfect for me?
Intimate Elopements
Historically an Elopement was when a couple escaped from having a formal, traditional wedding, perhaps to someone they did not love, by running away to get married in secret without telling their family. For the modern couple it has a completely different meaning.
Our couples choose to travel somewhere special and scenic (like Cornwall) usually on their own, with or without telling anyone so they can enjoy the freedom of celebrating their wedding day how they want to. And I love helping them!

Celtic Handfasting Ceremony
A Handfasting is probably my favourite Ceremony. The Ancient Celtic Ritual where the hands/wrists are tied together with ribbons, cords or fabric, symbolises the binding of two lives and two hearts together. A Handfasting is used in Wiccan or Pagan Commitment Ceremonies to publicly declare your intent to marry and it would last for a ‘year and a day’ you could then decide to continue your union for longer. For your Wedding Ceremony it would be for ‘as long as love lasts’. A true Pagan/Celtic Handfasting has Nature-based Spirituality and Symbolism at its heart. This ritual, however, has been incorporated into mainstream religious and secular wedding ceremonies around the world and has become popular as a ‘Hand-tying Ritual’ within its own right. Any number of guests can attend your Handfasting Ceremony.

Micro Weddings in Cornwall
A micro wedding is a wedding with less than 20 guests. Because it’s smaller in size, it’s more budget friendly, more relaxed, and shorter in length than a traditional wedding day. It may be Celebrant-led (no witness needed as your wedding is not legally binding) or even a quick and simple registry office ceremony but your Micro-Wedding is not done in secret. The guest list is just much smaller. Micro weddings are also different from intimate weddings. Small Micro weddings can still include wedding traditions if using a Celebrant and couples can get creative in ways that might be more difficult with larger affairs.

Before we even met Jacki we knew that she was exactly the type of person we were looking for to conduct our intimate ceremony. During our online chats her lovely nature and cracking sense of humour really shone through. She also showed kindness and empathy prior to our wedding on the sad loss of Deb’s mum. As soon as we arrived at our sunrise ceremony (a little later than planned due to sat nav issues!!) Jacki put us at ease. The ceremony was written beautifully and delivered with such kindness, love and expression. She added extra touches such as a candle to light for those loved ones who were no longer with us and a jar to collect sand from the beach below where we had photographs taken. Jacki is a beautiful genuine soul and we highly recommend her!!

There is no one else we could have imagined to perform our elopement other than Jacki! Jacki is the absolute best and sweetest person. We felt right at home with her the second we met her over zoom, and knew that we were in safe hands. She performed our ceremony exactly how we wanted it and was just as excited to be there as we were! She made the whole process so seamless and magical. The best is that she provides a box filled with the elopement certificate, and the entire ceremony printed up (plus some goodies) that you get to take home and cherish. We could not have had the best day of our lives without Jacki, and are forever grateful.
