Your perfect day – Intimate Elopement or Handfasting ceremony
By using an Wild Wedding Celebrant to create and conduct your bespoke Intimate Elopement or Handfasting ceremony, your wedding day won’t be stressed, pressurised or make you feel obligated to anyone. It will only be about you, your dreams, desires and your love. You can celebrate your wedding ceremony during the day or alternatively it could be a sunset, milky way or full moon ceremony, exactly how you want it to be and spend it together, just the 2 of you, doing things you love. You can enjoy the whole wedding experience without having to be part of a traditional, organised, conveyor-belt wedding system. This leads us onto our next point..
Having a celebrant-led Outdoor Wedding Ceremony
The beauty of using a Celebrant and having a celebrant-led wedding ceremony is that you can include rituals and elements that are meaningful for you both. If you follow any nature based paths you can express your beliefs in your ceremony, outdoors, in a location that resonates with your heart. Handfasting Rituals, Sand or Unity candles, Jumping the broom or even creating a ritual of your own are all encouraged as ways to personalise your ceremony and you will feel right at home celebrating in our rugged landscape.

Although I have focused mainly on our amazing outdoor weddings, it is always good to have a back-up plan whatever the season or time of year as weather is unpredictable. The 3 ‘not so hidden gems’ that offer excellent elopement packages for couples and a few guests if required are BoHo Cornwall, one of the first elopement venues in Cornwall, set in beautiful gardens, the dramatic and beautiful Beacon-Crag, a cliff top venue with amazing sunsets viewed from their hot tub and the most dreamy, atmospheric Pengersick Castle, available for rooftop stargazing, full moon and candlelit ceremonies. You can find the link to these fabulous venues on the supplier pages.
The best time to visit Cornwall
is May/June for your wild meadow wedding as this is when the wild flowers are in bloom and the days are bright . September/October are much quieter as the children are back at school and the tourists have left and the weather is usually still quite good. It is also cheaper than July & August. “Let us dance in the sun, wearing wild flowers in our hair…” I hope you have found this information helpful and you are now excited to come celebrate with us and would like to start planning your day. There are lots of different blogs over on the Cornwall Elopement Guide website that will give you wedding inspiration and ideas to make your day just how you have dreamed it to be. And for after your ceremony there is also a section on Honeymoon activities like walks, wild swimming, tidal pools to enjoy and places to visit too! So if you love Cornwall, the great outdoors, are adventurous and excited to experience your own Wild Elopement with us, please get in touch soon.
I LOOK FORWARD TO WELCOMING YOU TO BREATHTAKING, BEAUTIFUL CORNWALL!
